A post rust on MOT?

MOT time for my MG , its quite clean all over but there is one patch of rust on the A post on the inside between the two hinges as you open the door. Its not a hole as such, but I am sure if you gave it a push with a screw driver it would go. Does anyone know how this stands on an MOT test?

If its a fail then I will plate it, but otherwise I'll leave it as I plan to restore it next year anyway. Just don't want it to fail an then have to pay for the retest as its skint city here right now.

    Thanks all

Well I just took my escort van to the MOT garage down the road, where I know the tester quite well to ask a similar question about some rust holes I have. His take on it was that he'd fail "anything nasty within 30cm of any kind of mounting point or major structural joint".
