Just thought that people might like to recommend their local welding supplies stores. You know how it is, your all set to start a job or project and you realise that you are out of mig tips/Tungstens etc. or you drop your plasma/Tig torch and smash the ceramic that you have been meaning to order spares for for ages.
Can you wait 2 days for mail order?
Is there a little unit tucked away on a trading estate near you?
Recommend it and keep it going!

Bridgwater, Somerset.

To start the ball rolling I would like to recommend Splatter Welding Supplies on the Colley Lane industrial estate in Bridgwater Somerset.
Just a small unit but he stocks consumables and spares for most disciplines, fair prices (17.95 + vat for 10 Parweld Zirconiated 2.4mm Tungstens).
Dosen't carry much stock of welding machines, just the basics but a wide range of masks and gloves.

Also in Bridgwater, Yeovil and a number of other south west towns Mole Valley Farmers agricultural merchants carry a small range of Mig and MMA spares and consumables (rods, anti-spatter, tipdip, wire etc.)and have the added advantage of being open on a Saturday plus farmers prices!

Saracen in Hereford, good prices mostly and they have Chris who is kept locked in a cupboard who services and repairs welders. Funny bloke who is possibly the rudest man I have seen in captivity.

Devizes Steel has been good for me, not far from Trowbridge. They have loads of stuff from steel to welders and welding bits and pieces. the off cuts selection is also very good especially if you dont really know what you want so just a load of different thickness and sizes of box section etc are perfect. think it was about 60p/kg of offcuts, but all in good condition, and they even let me chuck some studding in and weigh that too! also very good and cheap if you do know what you want and make a 'proper' order for some lengths.
