A little TIG welding job in North Wiltshire

It's a bit of a long shot I know, but is there anyone local that could do this for me?

I posted here https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/stuff-you-have-made-today.67127/page-1422 about the little canopy I made today and the two support struts could do with welding up.

It amounts to 2 welds of about 30mm in length in 1mm thick aluminium angle, the stuff you buy in B&Q.

Hi RWD3M. If no one local is available to do the job this is a perfect opportunity for you to carry out a fix using aluminium brazing rods. If needed have a look at www.aluminium.co.uk. Good luck.

Is it anodised? Could you bolt a small piece of the same material inside the joint and use countersunk set screws to secure it.

If you can TIG ally you are welcome to nip round and use my kit. parweld 202p.

I'm happy to do it if you are local enough to drop them off then pick up once done.

They may be anodised I buy 8mm tube from b&q now and then, there's normally 2 sections raw and anodised, if anodised it won't be easy to weld

I do, and obviously considered a small plate rivetted across the gaps, I just thought a weld would be a little more elegant

Sadly, not a skill I ever learned. That said, I learned welding using O/A at school and have gas welded ally, albeit a VERY long time ago

Another option,
What are the dimensions of the brackets?
How many do you need?
It might work out cheaper than the fuel cost to have them made and posted to you
