I drive an Merc Actros unit an trailer out of Heathrow.

.
, it’s generally excessive speed that causes rollovers. Combine it with a high centre of gravity, such as double deck trailers with too much weight up top and usually not secured, or fully loaded containers, and all the elements are present. Anyone unfortunate enough to drive through Hull will doubtless have been stuck in traffic at some stage on Hedon Road, generally at the Marfleet Lane roundabout. On a regular basis, container lorries roll over on what for many is the first roundabout after leaving the docks, or the last before entering them, simply because a, they’re travelling too fast, and b, they have no idea how the box is loaded, other than it’s weight.
), and the frequency of rollovers and lost loads, a lot of truck drivers out there don’t seem to have much idea...Is that a "cross your fingers and hope" coupling?

Most look to be speed related. When I was first seduced by heavy trucks, cb radio was very popular, and we used to say: “Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!” Not all of the brethren got that message:
Stay safe out there folks.
Most look to be speed related.
Transport offices and unreasonable expectations don't help
I've seen 2 roll overs in the last few months. One a double deck Royal Mail trailer on a roundabout the other a Container on a roundabout..
I still think a lot of them are drivers going to fast.
I drive an Merc Actros unit an trailer out of Heathrow. I don't like any of the lane control stuff, our new 18tonners have got the the lot Lane departure, Automatic braking and a Adaptive cruise.. The auto braking even activates at slow speed manouvering round the yard. I got a bit closer to a fence than it liked the other day an it jabbed the brakes on.
I was on full lock at the time an I knew I was going to miss the fence.
Look and learn children

.I just assumed it was a Beemer due to the bad manoeuvre and lack of signals

Great clip, wonder how many of the factory workers ended up with asbestos related illnesses .....Look and learn children

. How the truck didn’t roll is still a mystery to me, I can only think that I must have a guardian angel, hard though it is to believe.)
