could anyone be so kind as to measure up the overall length of a yorkshire type 22mm-15mm reducer please. I have a project that uses 15mm diverter valves which are now obselete so I will need to order 22mm and reduce, but have a limited space envelope

Yes, tighten it up, take nut off and whack a load of paste on, re-tighten

What a superb suggestion thanks. Looks like the 22mm valves are still available from various sources. I use them to make indestructible heater valves for MG ZT V8’s

I was going to keep original and use the cable, my 200tdi conversion for someone reason has no heater valve.

The V8 has a water blend heating system and the original valve design was very poor. Its like a 15mm tee with a rotating pipe with a hole in and two tap washer type seals which disintegrate

I was about to say the same, novel idea.

When I had to remake the oil cooler pipes on my old Honda Blackbird, I used 10mm copper pipe with olives soldered on - it works a treat!

Did it on both 'Birds and did MANY thousands of miles afterwards without a leak or a blown off pipe.

So the one on the left is the old valves you can't get any more and the one on the right is the latest version you can get, but with reducers?

I did not realise why the olives were there till Northwest commented.
