Very nice and that is a massive saving, we can sometimes do the same in the UK on items from abroad but if the customs are on the ball they retain it until you pay the tax due, so it can be a gamble.

Customs in Australia did catch it and made me pay GST but I still saved. Makes me think that someone is trying to rip us off.

Yeah there are lots of cheaper units around (I have one of those too - a chinese 200 Amp ACDC inverter and it works OK). But after reading some of the input from users of the Kemppi here on this very forum (best TIG money can buy), I just decided that I had to have one.

And we think we are being ripped off here in UK, you'd get it for the pre-VAT price I suppose ? That would add a good chunk to it for us at 20% but it is a very nice machine, if you can afford it why not treat yourself.

I have both the mls 300 and 230 and am well impressed with them. You will be smiling for quite some time.

Yes I get it for pre-VAT price but on the flip side, AU customs make me pay 10% GST when it arrives. But its STILL cheaper than buying locally.
I've played with it a little and I'm in love. I agree, its porn for welders.
