What the?
Ok bit of an update.
This weekend it was time for me to fetch my spare shell, bearing in mind it was 200 miles away but it was also free. I thought long & hard which is rare for me about the best way to transport the shell home, now being a bit of an idiot I opted out on the trailer option in favour of LWB transit! This has to be one of the most stupid things I've ever done, although I won't be going to court for this one!
I will let the pic's do the talking.
Cut her straight down the middle, whipped the chasiss legs & inner wings off & scalped it. My weapon of choice was a cheap plasma cutter off eBay, went through it without a hitch until it caught on fire! We dragged it outside to save the workshop and dealt with it accordingly.
The power tripped during the rapid evac out the workshop due to some snagged wires & with no way of getting it back on we chisled through the last few bits with a hammer & pry bar to get it in half & I decided I'd had enough. Tided up, packed up & drove the 200 miles home. This is what was in the van in the morning
A mildly scorched coupe! Me & my bro removed the mess from the van which was an absolute ball ache but we got it done, now thats a repair section!
Obviously I got some funny looks off the neighbours Think I might have gone too far this time! Its best if strip these down asap to save any grief, so I set too drilling through the sixty thousand billion spot welds
I was flying through it until I found the shell had been brazed at points
I'm not sure the best way of seperating this without a oxy-fuel torch, would TIG de-braze it enough for me to pop the panels apart? its all thats holding it together now. Please help
