This is to do with some major work I have just done on my BMW K1200LT. I fitted new brake lines, refurbished the centre stand hydraulics, fitted the cameras and replaced the suspension.
Prior to the work, with the 'bike on the centre stand, the rear wheel was off the deck by an inch or so, allowing it to be rocked off the stand. Since the work, the rear is also hard on the deck when the suspension is set to its 'correct' length. The only way to get it off its stand was to screw down the length adjustment about 20mm on the front coilover which gave about half an inch clearance at the rear tyre. Still difficult but possible with effort to get it off the stand.
I have refitted the rear OEM unit with no change to the symptoms so it points towards something to do with the front setup. I have been discussing it on the BMW LT forum so rather than copy everything here, perhaps someone might be interested to review the matter for me please?

Front shock absorber or "strut" as Clymer call it.
I finally received my delivery of YSS shock absorbers. I fitted the rear without too much bother but it is not a good alternative to the original. The adjustment hose emerges at right angles so has to sharply bend down the side of the battery. Then the adjuster is not the same, the mounting...
