Is the door open most of the time? That's probably not helping matters. Just saying...
Tends to vary, but it might get all steamy if it were left closed.

You noticed too huh? All other rooms have them screwed to the wall.good planning, sealed wetroom floor with a doorstop screwed down through it, perhaps its the overflow![]()
Depends how far you want to go, you could change that one for a double and also fit a smaller double right behind the door
handy when u get olderThat one is behind the door when it’s open. Or do you mean a narrow one next to it?
Don’t doors normally open towards the room centre, rather than back against the wall?
Disabled guy had this place since new, doors are also 2” wider than I’m used to.
K2 means double panel, doesn't apply to towel rads
Yes a second narrow oneThat one is behind the door when it’s open. Or do you mean a narrow one next to it?

Are you single bob?
Once you move out of the subburbs, practical solutions like fitted boot dryers as @8ob demonstrates become far more normal. Northing worse than putting on cold damp boots on a morning. The radiator in our porch (rest of the house has underfloor heating) is positioned to dry the wet coats that hang above it, and is way over sized. Are you single bob?
My lass would kick off big time.

I’ve bought a “modern day” version of these for the lounge. It’s a triple column beast. Made sure builder put timbers in the new wall to be able to screw back as well as sits on feet. Looks so much better than plain standard rads too ( which I specced around the rest of the house as I couldn’t afford the pretty ones all round)![]()
Not sure about this. There are plenty of opinions to say so on the web, mostly from radiator cover manufacturers/suppliers. Depends very much on the design of the cover, but generally covers impede the air flow, so reduce heat output, and also shield the radiated heat, further reducing heat output.double would give you more heat out
a cover over the radiator and more heat output for the same btu on a double radiator
