I was looking for a small, portable gas bottle to be easily moovable. I had already a 20Litre, but it is a bit difficult to carry it, mainly if I had to move it through stairs. I decided that the optimum size for me is the 8L but I was a bit sceptical, as the price for buying an 8L bottle in Greece (where I live) is almost the same with 20L.
So, after some search (mainly while searching for the Kramer Bi-Pulse 200 MIG) I found PEMAT, a Polish welding e-shop, that sells also 8L bottles within Europe. They are selling a big range of welders (most of them are made in China, with various Polish branding, but they are selling also some ESAB, Kemppi & Lincoln machines). They are selling empty bottles (without valve), filled bottles (either with Argon or Mixed gas) & valve and filled bottles with pressure regulator. I choose the last option, as the price (76,14 EUR + 19,95 EUR shipping) sounded very good to my ears, compared to 120 EUR + VAT that costs the bottle in Greece, without the pressure regulator (similar cheap model costs here 30-35 EUR). I complete my order with some small items (2 D100 alu rolls, protective glasses for welding mask, felt flap discs, MIG tips etc.) I have asked for an Invoice so I did not pay any VAT, but the Polish e-shop takes advantage of a European regulation regarding Internet sales, that can sell also to individuals without VAT.
The e-shop accepts Paypal payments, so that was an advance. They shipped order next day by DPD, with tracking number. I received order after 10 days. Everything was well packed. The bottle is "fresh", manufactured on April 2019 and its next hydraulic pressure check is for March 2029. The valve was sealed with "200bar" mark. After applying the pressure meter on the bottle, the needle was just bellow 200bar. The bottle is filled with 82/18 gas. (At same price you can get also the Argon filling) No issues on welding.
So, as a final word, I can say that I am very satisfied for their prices, the customer service and the quality of the products. Maybe some people in the forum will find interesting this information. Just to make clear also that I have no relation at all with them.
