I just aquired a 110v Clarke 100e and i orderd gas for it but i orderd argon co2 mix, and i was reading after this is for sheet metal and stainles steel. but straight argon is for aluminum. i am looking to weld mostly mild steel and exhaust. maybe aluminum later. will the mix work for mild steel? and will it work for aluminum as well.

25% co2 is pretty high but usable for sheet mild steel, but too high for stainless, really 2% is ideal for stainless but acceptable results will be obtained from 5% co2, and is also good for light gauge mild steel.
At 5%, stainless welds will be a bit oxidised but good enough for an exhaust
For aluminium you will need pure argon, or one of the argon / helium mixes

75/25 is standard this side of the pond.
The tri-mix (argoshield) with low CO2 is hard to find and for mild steel, works the same.
That is the mix I usually use. You will need pure argon or Ar/He mix for aluminum. As jwt873 said, aluminum is hard on small MIGs. I'd not expect that great results.
