Heres a job i completed just over a week ago. It started life as a normal 7.5t box truck but i had to convert it for a customer who bought it because of the LEZ compliant engine but didnt need the box. Infact he want it converting into a beavertail for his track vehicle hire company. I dont have any pictures of before i started, only once id cut and fliched the chassis, built the bulk head, cut down and fitted the 2nd hand dropside doors and built and fitted the ramp. These pictures show me fitting the ram for the hydraulic ramp. The ram was off a one ton tail lift so was easily up to the job of lifting the ramp. I enjoy doing this kind of work as there is lots involved and quite a bit of thinking involved in accordance to the total weight of the vehicle, the payload that is going onthe back (as it happened a 3.6t payload was needed hence the floor being made of aluminium to lighten the vehicle).
