Im sure i'm not the only one who notices this when we're busy with our projects in the shed. You know the feeling when you know that tap with the hammer or stroke of the file will be exactly whats needed before you fit the pieces together and it is every time. I've found the same when shooting rifles or even the catapult you just know thats spot on before it finds its mark. Wondered if you lads have noticed the same thing or have any explanation for it

It's what happens when you're focused. It's all down to the cerebellum, the old brain. It's responsible for all of the actions that we do automatically and take for granted, such as breathing. For example, when I used to play darts on a regular basis, there were nights when I was "In the Zone." I knew, before I threw the dart, that it was going exactly where I wanted it to. I didn't even need to concentrate on the throw. I would look at the number, double or treble and throw. Ever wondered what happened the last 30 miles went when you drive? You go on automatic, unless a hazard pops up, when you resume conscious thought.

It's not infallible but il grab a handful and pull out exactly what I need
