I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from this thread!
In terms of forum interface changes, it could be far far worse, I was fairly regular visitor/contributor to a UK brewing forum and it sold out to a US company that has banned free speech (any criticism and your banned), they read your PMs to check your not conspiring against them, and the site has changed into one of these horrible advert soaked monstrosities where if you hover over a key word then an advert pops up. Everybody of any brewing experience left for greener fields and only rookies remain. Evidently the same company bought an ozzie brewing forum and its happening there too. So this site is a dream compared to that

True, however the merest hint of criticism in a PM results in a ban, so they are taking this to the limit. And if you send your email address to somebody so you can talk privately then that earns a ban too. Fewer active members = lower advertising income however they have yet to understand that happy members = active members.

Gutted to hear that you're not going to update the thread any longer. It was one of the highlights of the site and has been inspirational.
