60L clip top barrles

daft i know but how much do they actualy hold, i see that near the top of the barrles i have they have a line with 2 arrows pointing at them, is the the 60l mark?

Just over 60 to the top, tends to be used for things other than liquids, we get ceramic balls in them for our gas dryers

Our rumbling media comes in them. Got gerring on for 100 of them in the warehouse. Should build a boat out of them. Yeah the arrows are 60l liquid cap.

Thanks for that guys, i was getting a good deal then when i bought my used Veg oil as i was paying for the full tub of oil as 60l

I think they go for £5 each or more on gumtree. Very handy indeed if you have chickens.

They can come in handy for a lot of things aslong as they are clean, large fish tank or pond filters, RO water storage for marine fish tanks, veg oil storage/settling tanks, underground garden water features tanks, just a few.

They can go for as much as £15 in new condition.

Found the actual fluid level

Hi guys, thought i should let you know that i found the fluid level in the 60l clip top drums, the marking i mentioned at first is just an sign to say to keep the drum upright at all times, not the 60l fluid level mark.
I dont know why i didnt think of it before, all i did was google tank volume calculator and put in the drum dimensions and it come back with the fluid height, which in this case is about 40mm below the rim, which sounds correct now, as before it was way to low down the drum be correct, a good 200mm, maybe more.

So there you go guys, mine of information i am

Buy sixty one litre cartons of milk or something and as you use them keep the empty cartons, fill with water then tip them in one at a time. It's getting complicated now.

Take 3L out and then see whats left in there then add the 2 numbers together
