My Google and eBay kung-fu is letting me down here and have been back through plenty of threads and still coming up blank.
I'm looking to buy some 5251/NS4/H22-type aluminium sheet in 1.5, 1.2 and 1.0mm thicknesses (think these are the commonly available thicknesses and that I've included all the old and new designations there) and I'll be looking for it guillotined into long strips which I'll break down into little coupons.
Its just for welding practice before tackling three cars worth of repairs (vintage Land Rovers so its the nearest equivalent to their old Birmabright alloys).
...but I'm really struggling to find a decent stockist that will sell to DIY.
The only place I've found so far is https://www.aluminiumwarehouse.co.uk/aluminium/sheet/thickness/1-mm-1.2-mm-1.5-mm/grade/5251h22 but I have no idea if their prices are reasonable or if they are like some of the metals4u-esque places with inflated prices.
Could someone advise whether the aluminiumwarehouse prices seem sensible and if no whether they could recommend an alternative supplier?
Thank you.
