I'm just posting this because it has slightly rocked my world..I always felt secure in my belief that wankel rotary engines had 3 chambers for some magic maths or geometrical reason. Don't really know why.
Now I have just seen this. A 5 chamber Russian torpedo motor.
Edit: looks like 4 chambers and 5 tips, my brain hurts.
The fuel is High Test Peroxide, which is insanely dangerous and probably sent the Kursk submarine crew RIP to their deaths.
I suppose seal wear doesn't matter for a torpedo
Just noticed that someone has stolen two of the phillips head screws for his shed hinges
