400v single phase pump

I'm converting a 3 phase bandsaw to run on single phase.
The main motor is all sorted with a VFD.
Having no idea that 400v line to line was a thing I wrongly assumed that this little coolant pump would be happy on 230v as soon as I saw a capacitor, it isn't.

What should I do?

I can feel and hear it humming trying to start but I just don't think it has the torque

It won't have the same torque, but these generally run okay.
I have run a large 3-phase pump from my 240v VFD to test it.

They're supplied by Millenium Machinery in Ireland.
Does it spin if you give it a quick flick in the correct direction? It may be that it needs a larger capacitor, if so.

A transformer? If the machine has a work lamp, it may already have an about 400-240v transformer you can use on board. But in reverse.

I didn't actually know you could do that, I guess it's obvious really.

Sadly no work lamp and it won't turn no matter what despite definitely working before on 3 phase.

I guess I'll be buying a replacement

I think that the pump runs off two of the phases {two llives), still classed as single phase.

Which is where the 400v comes from.

Get a small 110v site transformer, the smallest one you can find. Wire the secondary in series with the primary and it will output about 350v AC single phase.

EDIT: Or buy something like this. Put 240v into 11-15 and get 380v out of 1-3
