3m 7500 series face mask filters

Which filters do you folks recommend for the 7500 series 3M face masks? On this occasion I will be stripping plaster off of a wall, so need good dust protection.

If these fit the mask you’ve got them you should be good to go.

Yes those filters will fit a 7500 half mask.
The 'P' stands for Particulate

Theres P2 and P3 filters, P3 offers better particulate filtration than P2.

I use 6035 filters, I also have combination filters for example 6055 for gas/vapour and 5925 or 5935 for particulate protection.

Sounds like you got an adflo powered air? great powered air unit, you got a pre-filter on it? Sounds like you just got the spark arrestor mesh and main filter,
the pre filter would prolong the main filters life... you could easily make the pre filters yourself or wash the original ones.

I believe the 6035 is the best particulate filter for just general dusty environments (esp outdoors), as the filter media is encapsulated, also handy to check for air leaks (squeeze these filters and you can feel/detect leaks)

While the half mask offers good respiratory protection, it does nothing to protect the eyes so that's something to take into consideration.

Yes have a prefilter in there but the particles still get past that.

That place sounds like its ultra dusty !!!!

All P3 filters are good for the type of dust you describe. If its that dusty then you probably need to change filters more often

Yeah sounds mega dusty, airflow probably not a good idea in that environment.

How about a 3m full face (6000 series) with 6035 filters, I also got one I use it quite a bit, it uses the same filters as half mask too so that's good.

Or get some tight fitting glasses/goggles with the half mask.

If it’s that dusty stick with your powered filtering option. The positive pressure in your breathing zone affords much more protection than any type of device that relies on a tight fitting seal around your nose mouth / face

No idea. They’ve spent millions with Haas Recycling equipment so I imagine it’s kosher

Spending money isn’t much of a solution. Recently I went to a huge place that recycles catalytic converters. They contain refractory ceramic fibre, it’s a class 1 carcinogen

None of their so called improvements worked

There’s a place a couple of miles from my house that had a catostrophic explosion with wood dust. Nasty stuff. I think I recall @Parm saying he was involved with it somewhere along the lines.
