Fusion 360 is about as user-intuitive as it gets. To clarify the above, though, it is a cloud-based tool.
Blender has a built in Python terminal so if you were so inclined, you could write your own gear generating tools in it. I wouldn't though. It has it's uses and it does them very well but CAD isn't one of them.Blender if I want to model more naturally although as said it's more of a artist's package.
Could certainly make some interesting 3d prints from the messages I get...BLENDER . . ah OK I thought that you meant GRINDER . . . phew
