I need to produce some molds for sand casting , up to now I have always made then in ali or steel with associated grief of filling, sanding and painting them. I was wondering if a mold made on a 3d printer would have a finish good enough as is and be strong enough to withstand being beaten about in a sandbox at a casting shop.
Any help on this would be appreciated ,suggestions on filaments etc would also be useful.
Currently looking at this machine but dont have a clue whether its good or bad https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-Print...h=item23b056f667:g:W~UAAOSw2-pb~6NF:rk:2:pf:0
