I'd love to know the location of this perfect world where the moderators appear to live.
The one where there are no arguments, no swearing, and where issues of the day that affect just about all of us are not so much not spoken about but are more than actively discouraged in a dictatorial fashion. Do you all live in little cottages with roses growing round the door and fluffy little bunnies in the garden that looks like something out of a nursery rhyme???
It certainly bears no resemblance to the world that I inhabit with all its flaws, and while I appreciate that this post will lay me open to a "If you don't like it here you know where the door is..." response, I shake my head quite often at the ludicrously overbearing attitude that the moderators display towards some posts/threads...

to be honest after hearing the result after 3d post i ignored the whole pointless lot . nothing was worth debating or looking at

No giving offending contributers a ban is a better way of handling it.
Why should the rest of us suffer. I was enjoying an adult discussion about what is after all an opinion.
As I said in the thread there is a block button to use if you get upset.
Pretty damn useless being there then really.

Just looked and found the thread, F1 drivers over payed, boring to watch, as long as nobody gets hurt they can drive how they like, stopped taking any interest in F1 and m/c racing years ago ( except I.O.M.TT), proper racing.
As you have now found there was a thread called F1 where we discussed F1 generally. It started with the horrific fire ball incident but as with most threads Morphed into a more general discussion as things progressed.
I rarely question mods decisions (as I am a mod myself) and we all see things differently but I do feel locking threads when a short ban might even save the Mods work in the long term as we would all think twice about posting.
And the rest of us do not have to suffer.
Oh and BTW I am sure I would get a ban at some stage. (Or the old me would have for certain)
We all get things wrong as I said it was Woz who tidied it up when it was Paul.
Finally I would like to thank Paul for attempting to save the thread rather than locking it first time. It was appreciated.
