320A MIG 400/230V?

Found this, not sure, the seller seems to think it's fixed 415V, but the back panel says 400 or 230?

I'm assuming it's a 400V single phase MIG that can be switched, or will it require the three separate phases?

I believe that 230/220V three phase is used in america and some other countries so I suspect it can be switched to run on this. I don't think it would run on single phase. The transformer would have to be designed differently. And I see a number 3 next to the AC symbol so I think it must mean its three phase.

Correct, and some came with two sets of windings to use three or single phase and you got bridging links with them.

That's cool, I wasn't sure if anyone else had seen similar welders previously...
The original company doesn't appear to make them anymore, if it still exists, I just thought I'd "throw a stone in the pond" to see what others thought.

The French are keen on that configuration too, I've had a 300DV (Dual voltage) MIG machine arrive with me before and had to field questions from purchasers asking how to make it run on 230 single phase. Quite disappointed when they found it couldn't, even though I never said it did, but the branding is confusing at times for the uninitiated.

Another thing from the dataplate, there's no way on earth you'll get 190A @ 23.5v output from 16A @ 230v single phase input on a transformer machine (which is what that is, unless the dataplate is lying).

You will on the 3 phase 230 v supply the rating plate is referring to though.

We used to sell a few used Japan sourced robots that were 220V 3 phase, had a couple of customers asking how to wire it for single phase use once they saw the 220V bit.
