Torn between these two machines.
I want a separate wire feeder/intercon cables. So not interested in compact mig design alternatives.
TecArc SWF MIG Industrial Range - 300Amp.
Parweld XTM 301S - 300Amp.
I am getting a great price on either machine so alternatives will push budget higher ' Not an option '.
TecArc has better duty cycle but 4 roller feed is optional.
Parweld has 4 roller feed as standard but less duty cycle.
Parweld as 3 year warranty - and they collect.
TecArc has 2 year warranty - not sure if they offer collection within there terms. I think they mention 5 for the transformer.
I do notice alot of design and build information for the TecArc machine - and this range does seam to be even tougher than the smaller Portamig variety? But not sure... If the build is superior than the import Parweld style machine it might be the better choice.
I don't weld aluminium - just mild steel from 1.5mm right upto 8-10 for a variety of projects. I have never put any older migs onto thermal shutdown - so not sure if duty cycle is the killer for me. I am stuck with single phase due to moving premises and it would be too risky and unlikely I will end with 3 phase etc.
Any advice welcomed
Thanks.
