, very old technology that looks very poorly maintained.
Got a simalar compressor but in better nick sat on the scrap pile after ripped it out a mates workshop we worked out it was of negative value.

If the "300 CFM" figure is accurate, then the motor would have to be around 75 HP :

- A good single-stage compressor, per true HP input, will deliver about 4 true CFM at 100 psig. It is not uncommon to see this more like 3 CFM per HP.
- A two-stage compressor is more efficient, typically by 15 percent, versus a single-stage compressor. You might see 4 to 5 CFM per HP at 100 psi, instead of 3 or 4 CFM.

Good morning gents. I have one of those, though the cover is green (sullair colour). Mine is a French made version so it compresses air with attitude. The Kubota engine 4 cyl turbo are a great engine, but don't fair to well with no oil of water, probably why this unit is not happy. They are 115l/sec which equates to about 260cfm, however with some tweeking you can get 300cfm and 150psi. I got mine from the local sullair mob, in very poor condition. Brakes don't work, cutting out on something electrical, throwing belts ( these are belt drive rotary screw compressors and mine is also aftercooled ). So after a service (4500hrs on the clock) brakes adjustment, compressor alignment for the belts and a new complete rewire and controller she is good to go. Mine runs at about 8.5 to 9 bar through a No.6 nozzle (3/8") and runs well without any drama. If the engine is the only problem then it could be a good machine, though a new v3300t Kubota will set you back some. The engine space is not great so you could possibly fit up something else but it would involve much fiddling, really not worth it. In this case best fit like for like. I am happy with mine and bought it primarily as it was powered by a Kubota engine, mine just needed a bit of TLC, well now when I think about it, it needed much TLC to get it where it is now. This was Sullair's service supply unit. It supplied air to factories when Sullair would service that companies compressors. You would think that their own equipment would be looked after. In fact it was treated like ****. When I came to collect it the service guys said to me 'don't buy that heap of ****'. When in fact all it needed was some TLC.
