morning gents, ive been away from the forum for a good few months getting some things sorted and changed about, the sort of things that now leave me the proud owner of a new workshop with 3 phase and a clonking great ironworker...
its a italian made one (i will get the name pictures and videos to follow!) i have got a draw full of tooling with it mainly 12x28 10x28 slots and 10.12.14 and 16 mm round punches some smaller some bigger.
where is the best place to get punch and die sets from at not a scary amount of money?
and friday was my first day using it for anything other than making holes in scrap and planning how great it was going to be, while pointing at the pillar drill thinking "your days are number`d!"
but i was punching 16mm holes in 40x10 flat bar and at the end of the run the dam thing was curved like a banana, it took half a hour to gt it back to something i could use on railings, and would have in all honestly be faster and better to say sorry to the pillar drill and do it that way.
i think the problem in with the stripper, it seems to wide and isnt stripping the steel from near to the die giving it too much leverage and bending if that makes any sence?
so any sugestions for tooling and distortion please?
