I think it is an electronic version of a Triumph which in normal headstock form has a 7.5Hp motor. Modern Vector VFD's are much better than older ones so possibly a 7.5hp motor could be used but I don't think I would be going anywhere as low as 4hp.A 2500 does not need a 10 hp motor unless you are really working it hard my student which is only a bit smaller has a 3hp single phase motor and it's ok yes I can stall it if I'm running a max speed with a 150 thou depth of cut but I don't do that often probably 4hp would be adequate especially in a hobby type environment where if it takes 2 mins more to make a component it really does not matter aside from that it unlikely your tooling will be up to it anyway
