I've finally got a moving date for getting into my new house. The plan is to build a suitably size garage/workshop there as soon as I can get away with. One thing that I'm going to investigate is the cost of getting a 3 phase supply installed.
Assuming it's not prohibitively expensive to get the DNO to put the supply in, what are the options/requirements in terms of suppliers? eg I pay scottish power for my electricity at the minute and if someone else offers a better tarrif, I switch to them. I'm guessing that won't be so easy with 3 phase? Or is it much the same and they meter each phase individually?
Any info would be greatly recieved thanks!
