how do i tell/check 3 phase motor wiring?
the motor that came with my colchester student is a ''lancashire-crypto A2W'' 3 phase, and is marked up as 220v/400v. has 6 wires coming out to a terminal block 3 of which are connected together.
is there a way of telling what its wired for? or does it not matter, i'm wanting to connect it to a static phase converter that i believe doesnt provide a neutral, so what happens to the 4th(multiple) wire?
sorry for all the questions but i'd quite like to check or at least not fry anything.....
thanks craig
