You need to remove the brown plate, to expose 6 wires leading to windings
then meter them, as they will be be in 3 pairs.
then connect the pairs together, and bring a live/phase to each pair
Looks to me like the 6 wires are connected to those terminals. I'd remove the mains lead and those brass links and then do a resistance check across the terminals before taking anything to bits.
looking at the link sizes, I would say strap 2 and 3, 4 and 5 and across the bottom (1 and 6?). As a precaution, I would ring out the windings with the straps removed?
I can't help regarding inverter makes, I've used one from Drives Direct and also a Telemechanique one, no issues with either.
