3/4" Impact wrench

Will a 3/4" impact wrench 433 ft/lb do up M36 nuts anyone know?
Don't fancy using the flogging spanners!

3/4" Makita guns are only good up to 20-24mm

For M36 in a crusher we use 1" and around 1000lb/ft

It will do them up but not to the right torque.

M36 needs 1886 lb/ft

I would say it would run them up, but tightening probably not, reckon your on the next step up at least.

Just had a look at the manual for a 1" drive bosh jobbie, the biggest they have on the list is M30....

I reckon your onto an air one, or perhaps a big leccy one and final turn with big socket and bar.

yeahh id agree, the 1" windy for anything that sort of size.......mines essential kit for some of the crap I get handed.....

Of course, it depends how tight you need to pull the bolts up to get it to fit aswell

The fit is fine, just they need to be real tight!

You need a torque multiplier, much better than Mk's 14 pounder.

If it's one of the type that you put a socket on and is a 5:1 ratio the 3/4 windy gun will operate it and take it up to the right torque without having to break into a sweat.

My old man used to have a giant one of them. It was slow but by crikey could it undo/do up some tight bolts.

When he worked on tractors he used to chock the rear wheel off the ground put a big bar on the wheelnuts and stick it in gear to crack the wheelnuts off on stubborn ones.
