265/60 R18 110T Tyres

I'm after a full set of new tyres for a Ranger. It spends most of it's life on the road, but does venture onto muddy sites a few times a month. Nice to have the confidence that it won't start spinning it's wheels. Its 4WD obvs.

I was looking at these as something with reasonable 'nobbliness', but I don't fancy listening to the roar of the tyres on the road. Am I along the right lines with the tread depth and make?

They'll be relatively quiet compared to some I would think. I run BFG ATs on the 110 and General Grabber ATs on the D3. The Grabbers aren't noisy at all. The BFGs maybe a little more but both very bearable. I suspect those yokohamas will be quieter than mine and fine.

I run Pirelli Cross Climates on mine, good on road manners and quiet, work fine in the snow and on wet grass, but not tried them in mud.

I run BGFs on my work trucks, decent off road and good manners on the road. Pricey though. On my Rav 4 I have renegade a/t 5’s. Perfectly adequate off road and good on the road. A set of 4 cost me £300, we had to put them on the rims though

I ran Cooper Discoverer AT3 on my previous Jeep, decent road manners, lasted ages and did well for several excursions into soggy fields

Transporter has just recieved a new set of General Grabber AT tyres, happy with on road performance but not tested off road yet and yes its the 4motion so AWD. The tread pattern is similar to the Coopers so expecting them to be OK.

Not tried the Geolanders but have used Dunlop Grand Trek ATs, on my Jeep, good on the road, not as good on the slippy stuff as the Coopers

They don't seem too loud at all - my Goodyear all-seasons are 71db if I'm remembering correctly? The road noise is definitely noticeable but doesn't drive you insane.

I have a full set on the Surf and they are very good tyres.
I had the predecessors the GO12's before that and they were also very good and lasted 9 years with a lot of tread left and NO cracks in the sidewalls.
I've just got in from the 85 mile pub run up and down the A1 tonight and they aren't very noisy either.
I'd definitely recommend them.
