Some models are Dual voltage, 240/110v.
Cebora Biwelder is one i can think of off the top of my head, not sure how many others are.
You normally need a 5kva min transformer to run 110v welders from, they wont run from a small portable type transformer (upto 3.3kva)
So unless the site has a proper 32a 110v supply, youll be pushed for power. Quite often you can get away with 240v unless its a big site.
You need to be looking for a dual voltage machine. Inverter Fusion do a good dual voltage model. Not in the shop, but Weldequip would be able to supply you with one if you chose to go down that route.
We have a Lincoln Electric and a Kemppi - both 110v only. Nice machines.
We had a couple of 110v where i used to work ,they work well with 32amps ,rubbish on 16amps seem to lose loads of power through 110v extension leads, one was dual voltage and was ace ,either ewm ,or castolin if i remember, invertor fusion ,used their 240v(200phf) very nice kit.......
Ewm and fronius do dual voltage machines, if you grind the locating lug of the blue 16 amp plug it will fit a 110 or 240 volt socket. If you are using it on 110 you need it as close to your supply as possible. heavy duty extensions 4mm help as well.
