24 volt power supply

Hi peeps,i have a 24 v impact gun,both the (nicad) batteries have had their day,new cells cost around the same as a new gun so i was thinking of going corded.
I have seen 24 v power supplies on fleabay,would one of these power the gun,any idea what wattage i would need if it would work ?.

would a 24V power supply be able to give the amps a battery has would be my 1st question

more often than not a nicad battery that's dead can be "revived". There's loads of vids on youtube showing how.

Ardvark,thanks,ill give them a bell,Roofman,yup,cocked that up a bit,1800ma X 12 cells is 22 amps or 528 watts,most i have seen is 300 and Cornish Pete ,i have tried all the revival tricks and none of them have worked so i assume they are toast.

Have you checked for any O/P voltage?
If none they may have an internal fuse link.

yup,i can get 25 volts after charging but put it on the gun and pull the trigger, it goes down to zilch in around 30 seconds.
