2023 Suzuki Jimny service question.

Lady at work has a 2023 Jimny which has covered 7k.
Service booked (371 quid!) and they said it needs a cylinder head cover gasket every two years which is another 200 quid, now this is the bit I do not get as I am assuming the thing has hydraulic tappets so shy would the rocker gasket need changing every two years?

Could be, but shims go even longer between checks.

I just thought valve clearances every two years was a tad excessive.

Just checked on Autodata - 2021 onwards with 1500cc K15B is check valve clearances every 24months (not 25000miles)

They normally go by miles.
My BMW bike pops up services warning light by date, regardless of miles, and without paying a dealer I can’t clear the light. So I wound the date back two years

To me if its a consumable when serviced the new gasket should be part of the menu pricing at the stealership!

2nd year service is normally oil and filter and brake fluid change
