Well, it'll soon[ish] be goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021, so I'll get in and raise a

to wish all my cyber pals here a heartfelt 'slainthe mhath' for 2021 .

Actually, although like many others I've moaned about the outgoing year, on reflection it looks to personally have been good in one respect - I had a hospital clinic on Tuesday and the critical para-protein level has dropped to 3.1, down from 3.7 last month.

Just proves that there can be good in almost every circumstance if you examine them positively.

It sounds like the Somme outside, glad I wasn't in bed yet.

It's normally like that up here but last night was surprisingly quiet .

One of my curses is being a light sleeper but I didn't hear anything last night. A bottle of 19 Crimes helped but even so the usual "Let's see the New Year in with a broadside of 16" shells" was very muted.

I managed to miss New Year this year: was asleep by 11:00 and did not even have a dram.

So leg of lamb in the oven and will nip up to the cemetery this morning to give my mum and friends and relatives a wee dram for 2021.
