2006 diesel honda crv fuel pump relay

so the honda died yesterday
after much faffing witht he obd reader, fault codes point to lack of fuel pressure
if you squeeze the prime bulb it will start and run as long as you keep squeezing

having trouble finding anything that has a fuse box shaped like mine on line
i belive the fuel pump fuse is inside next to the obd port (fuse 17) that is good , but cant find the relay

Have you checked power at the pump? You may not even need to find the relay if there is.

These have a mechanical lift pump on the back of the high pressure pump, and it's probably failed.
Quick check is to have somebody pump the primer bulb while you crank it. If it starts, the lift pump has failed.

Cheapest option is a complete high pressure pump from a breakers (sub £100), or you could get a reconditioned one from PF Jones for £240.
Only reason I know the prices is my dad's 2005 CRV packed in just before Christmas.

After removing the filter i am hoping it is that... looks like dirty fuel.. failing that its the lift pump

pumps cream crackered... fitted a new filter this afternoon, and was better, but not right.... idled for more than 5 secs without squeezing the bulb!

took the pump off
low pressure pump is driven off the end of the hp. with a flat tab
lp pump i think has locked up and sheared the pump shaft
it turns again now, but i guess it has busted vanes

pf jones have no good ones to recon... sent them the pictures as they offered to recon mine and as expected they said no.

round here the best i have been offered is 150.... but no guarantee as its a good one .... still looking

I just searched for the honda part number on ebay.
There were quite a few listings sub £100. I just picked what one could send it in a reasonable time frame.

got another pump today from a scrappy... its fitted , running and all the fault codes have cleared....
when i have put the rest of the bits on , and a new air filter as its awkward to get at, will see how it goes
had the lift pump apart, was riveted together...
to snap the shaft, it obviously locked up... the drive plates have snapped, and a couple of small burrs on the gear teeth, but no real reason why
