2001 MK6 transit 2.4 tddi diesel pump needed.

Anyone have any links or names for a recon diesel pump (VP44)...I have tried the EDC repair (solder a new chip in) but it has not really worked so the EDC must be fried. cuts the fuel when it gets hot and is a right pain in the ring, cools off after 20 mins and fires up again for another 30 mins or so. Can get one from Germany for £700 but would rather shop within our own shores. diagnostic codes are P1664,P1564,P1551, P1561, P1630, P1631, P1651, P1661

We sold/repaired allot of them once - but most of the vans now are dead.

Got a known good second hand one here, it would need to be virginised.

Yes, do you have someone that can virginise it? The guy that did all of ours in the past let his older software subscription lapse and cant do them anymore.

So mine could be the VP30 then..transit 350 2001 my engine numbers dont match any ford number. will have to remove the pump and see the number on the side of that to match.

Iv thought about getting hold of a LR 200/300tdi pump for when mine goes an doin away with the orrible lecky stuff, not as straight forward as a replacement pump granted

Only the high bhp engine had the bigger output centrifugal pump, which was licensed from Delphi/CAV.
The lower bhp engines had the smaller output roller cam pump.

(It's one of the useless bits of info I somehow manage to retain from the pre-launch training)

Ok pump off today and established its the VP30, driving to Sheffield on wed to spend £750 on a Bosch factory reconditioned unit and put this to bed. Tried the EDC repair and its failed so cant afford anymore down time with my picker. It should of been out this weekend and Made £1100

Did you price one from Ford?

They used to be a fairly cheap pump, and we couldn't buy them cheaper anywhere else, however it's probably 15 years since I last fitted one!

Beaten the record today of the times i dodged the rain showers, in the end i just thought "stuff this" and carried on dripping but getting the job done of fitting a new Bosh VP44 to my MK6 Trannie. She now runs like a dream and no cutting out when the pump mounted ecu gets hot. Riding the bike tomorrow morning so will fit the bumper when i get back. More boring pics but you get the jist
Poor hands took some more calatrial damage, everything under the bonnet of a Ford has sharp edges
