I believe the time to buy a bargain is when you don't need it - if you wait until you DO, you find they've changed the material it's made of to unobtainium and it costs the earth.

I don't know how Cromwell make any profit on normal orders, you may get the items spread over 3 or4 parcels. I know they get parcel delivery cheap, but they must make a fortune on goods.

I am happy to give it a go, but my communications with Cromwell (on work related issues) recently have been a little heavy on colourful metaphors!

You'd be surprised just how cheap, more you send the cheaper it is, often its perversely cheaper to send 3 consignments than one, as over x thousand customers it boosts the discount rate a lot...

We have the same through work, more packages we send out in one collection the cheaper it is for the company.

Means the engineers get more than one parcel, more protective packaging but in the long term it saves money.

Plus, with my local scrap yard taking in plastic and cardboard means we get cash back.

Just got my copper hammer but no sign of the chain hoists. No delivery note or anything else to indicate why.
Wonder if it was because hammer was really not that cheap when compared to the hoists and they are not going to send the hoists? Time will tell I suppose.
Will be interesting to hear from others who got some of the ridiculously cheap items, as well as some that were more normal price one, as to whether they got the cheap items or just the others.

Yes but the thing is my email said all had been sent off with a single tracking number. The tracking does say part of a consignment but all it says is delivered.
Good to hear others have got their stuff though, maybe mine will turn up tomorrow.

I don't think they send them out from 1 big warehouse but just drop ship them instead.

I ordered 2 things from them last month and they came separately.

Very nice as far as this type of hoist goes, way better than some of the cheapy jobs I've used in the past, solid build, even the changeover up/down lever is chunky steel instead of hard plastic sometimes found in these bits, fully rated inc declaration of conformity from T.T.C Lifting gear ltd.
Raptor products with a union jack emblem, also CE marked, not clear where manufactured, could well be british as manual is very clear and not chinglish

I am always apprehensive with Cromwell orders as multi orders can be difficult to track as they just say despatched but may or may not turn up together, even days apart, so always leave it a few days now before querying anything with them regarding missing items, a simple packing list would be nice in each box but they just put in a complete copy of whole order, so if a slightly damaged box arrives with items missing, you just assume some scrote at the couriers has swiped it, then a couple days later another box turns up with the rest

Cromwell are not cheap normally, this was an exception and they went way the other way LOL.
