Barrow IMO is not a bad spot, there's loads of industry there and quite a bit of money in the area, I went to Furness college for 2 years once a week and i liked it a lot.

Main problem with it is that it's in the back end of nowhere! You could commute from Kendal I suppose, but it's still a trek!

I was up at TSP in Workington a few weeks ago - I got to Lancaster and thought "Not far now...." - then looked at sat nav and realised I wasn't even halfway there...

At least the A66 Penrith to Workington is a pretty road Apart from that STUPID roadworks they have atm
