2 speed motor wiring

I am fitting new bearings to a 2 speed 240v electric motor and would like to run it up prior to fitting it to the pump.I have not opened up the connection box the motor cable is 4 core.And was just wondering if there is a standard wiring system colour code, the 4 wires are. The 2 speeds are 1400rpm and 2900rpm
P.S. motor will not be run with the pump connected,I;E with mechanical seal dry

WHITE
RED
GREEN.

Motor/pump

If its a "SPA" pump, the wiring is likely to be:
RED = Low speed
Black = High speed
White = Common.
GREEN = EARTH

I would seriously check continuity on the green to make sure it is indeed EARTH.
and the obvious applies--- dont run the pump DRY, ( if it is a pump )

I am not a qualified Electrician, so please do double check.

Yes it's a Hydroair spa motor and pump. Will take the cover off the motor box and check the earth colour,

Update on the wiring, This was inside the motor box, Can one of you electrical whizz kids decipher it for me into the colours that I have got please.The green is definitely the earth. Forgot to attach wiring, but here it is now, Sorry.

P.S. Am i correct in thinking the blue is neutral/common

As it says at the top, connect the mains across A & C for 2 poles (high speed) or B & C for 4 poles (Low speed). I would connect the neutral to C so that the thermal cutouts (TH) are in the live connections, although the motor will still work with live & neutral reversed.

A/Live--- C/neutral = Fast
B/Live--- C/Neutral = Slow
