you want a H frame ramp
mines a 4 ton jobbie sat on a H frame on 4" concrete
i can get lowerd stuff on mine without much issue, the ramps desinged for H frames have no disadvantage as those sitting on floor
arms / posts are adjusted to sit that bit higher so lifting pads start at same hight the channel running between posts is a ittel anoying but you have to have that anyway H frame or not as the cabels that keep the posts in sync run through there

let me know if you are interested in the scissor lift, if you are, you could come and look at the one I fitted at my mates. I think they are agood idea coz the workshop is not taken up by huge posts.
Some lifts have it over head. Utilizing a motor on each leg. Making them truly baseless.
