I can't remember who did exactly that with a fire in their house when I was a kid - never mind the heating effect of the 100W bulb under the front, all you could smell was the hot fibreglass of the "coals"I'm not suggesting those things work for one minute but...
My old granny had an electric "log" burner in her living room.
She would only ever run it on "lights only" mode but everybody would comment on how it was "nice and warm in here" when they came into the room.
I could even feel the effects myself although it was obvious that the thing was at room temperature when you touched it.
I wonder if those little plug in things have the same sort of physiological effect?
Dogs just never do what you tell them toI just can not align my chakra

BBC Radio 4 - Sliced Bread, Portable Heaters
Which portable heater is best for heating you – and the room you’re in?www.bbc.co.uk
I don't get the term "efficient heating" - all heating is total energy loss.
You put 1kw into an electric heater - and thats what you want - heat loss!
I've thought that before... Electric heaters being called this or that efficiency.
If you're sucking X watts from the wall socket, and it's got no lights or fan on it, where else does anyone think those watts are going?
I mean, if you have a 1kw fridge, it's going to heat up the room an exactly equal amount as a 1kw bar fire. Its just the way it is (yeah, yeah, I know the fridge might make a bit of noise and the bar fire emit some light energy, but you get the general idea! : )
I was once asked to refit a front door to a certain Compass bearing.I just can not align my chakra
Utter nonsense, of course. I worked for a family business where the husband and wife were convinced by Feng Shui.I was once asked to refit a front door to a certain Compass bearing.
Which would have bee. About 8.5 degrees out of line with the front elevation. Bloke was crackers.
