We did the same in work but needed several hundred to upgrade older PC's and Laptops
Given the quantity we couldn't get all Samsung so also bought a few other brands.
Samsung have definitely been the more reliable with significantly less failures

If it's for a laptop, an SK Hynix P31 Gold if you can find it for similar price (and your laptop is nvme and not sata, obv)
They're far better for low power consumption than most, idle power use is much lower than the Samsungs, good for keeping things cooler and a little more battery life.

all to complicated....
I can't use those type so it's SATA or nothing for me.
However I have a 500 Samsung in there currently.
I wanted to upgrade it as I keep loosing space.
When I got home I had 130 MEG available.
So I had a look at what I could move quickly. Lots of son's videos and a website I copied in its entirety plus a few bits created a few Gig. I created 18.6 gig of space last night. And it's all gone this morning.
Emptying recycle bin saved a bit more........however when I looked again this morning it's gone back to Megs free again instead of gigs.
Could this be windows 10 gobbling up space for a virtual drive?? It's not making sense to me.

virtual drive and also using virtual disk will lose you hard drive space it has to do when in use
but you should get the space back on restart of the machine
as what i do i fill my hard drive full to the brim in a few weeks but then gets backed up onto another hard drive
however i can use the method of an external drive for storage as back ups programs can be run from a second hard drive though
note a second hard drive still runs slower than the main hard drive unless its an ssd

has dropbox created a folder inside of your system as it did with mine on uploading files
for uploading files it created a sub folder which is what i didnt want for uploading files and shows them in there even though there elsewhere ?
i ended up uninstalling that software and just uploaded from my system instead via my computer search

Not had time to investigate. But I think it's something to do with smart sync.

yeah thats the one had it on my system installed with new updated software from dropbox
i removed the upload software to remove that folder as i dont need 2 copys of the same info on the same hard drive
i can still use dropbox though as i still use it via there site via computer search and just logon from anywhere anyway to download stuff from there
The strange thing is it says 667 gig (I have a terrabyte on drop box) but then says size on disk is 223 gig.
More reading needed I think.
