Hi
I bought a 2nd hand Sip Migmate 150 Turbo. It came with some wire and gas.
The wire that is in there currently is:
"E7IT-GS Gasless lux coiled wire"
0.8mm
one of the rollers (one with the two grooves in) has 0.8mm on it aswell.
Is this correct wire for the roller? I have read in the SIP section here that a useful mod is to add a clamp to stop the rollers slipping - i'm going to try that.
BUT i also have another problem that i couldnt find an answer to in the SIP section; if the rollers are not slipping, sometimes, depending on speed the wire bends after its gone thru the roller but before it enters the pipe. Causing it to sort of tangle up.
any advice here? i've not got a manual with it and not 100% if i have the right wire or roller combo.
Does the wire need to sit in one of the grooves or doesnt it matter?
I'm running on gas so is my "gasless" wire correct?
i've read that replacing the "liner" for a steel one will help - what is this?
Does the whole thing need a good clean? i removed the rollers and tried to pull the wire through with a pair of plyers but it was quite hard and the wire snapped one time.
i want to start practicing some welds but cant at the moment?
thanks
derek
