So,
Whats the outcome of the disc's, i you a Bosch 4" spinner, any ideas on what is most cost effective for me? I usually just go to b&q and buy whats there.
Cheers.
bullguard has just blocked this site it says its maliciousB&Q is horribly expensive for abrasives. I saw a 115mm flap disk for 12 quid the other day....
The best advice is to shop around a bit, look for decent brands like klingspor, 3M, smith & Arrow, Dronco etc. I'v generally found that welding/engineering suppliers have the best prices. Even if you don't use that many it's worth getting bulk packs of 20 if you can
Individual supplier seem to vary their prices a lot too so its always worth keeping an eye out for the best deal.
This place: seems to have pretty decent prices, although I've not dealt with them myself yet so can't vouch for their service. http://www.waspsupplies.com/grinding-and-cutting-discs-11-c.asp
This is the problem with ebay much of it is fake now....even paying a good price does not guarantee you genuine products any more..old thread, just found it after searching for reviews on cutting disks
I'm pretty sure the last lot of Norton disks I bought on ebay were fake.... seamed to last all of 2 seconds... had to cut up a 1.5mm sheet and each disk only lasted about 18 inches of cutting (even being very gentle)
I was sure Norton disks were decent but assumed I'd got mixed up.... ran out of cutting disks so borrowed one from next door, it was Norton too and lasted ages.... disks looked identical (from what I remember of used ones)
so all I can think of is they were counterfeit :-(
bought some klingspor disks from the WASP website mentioned in this thread earlier, figured they should be a better seller
