Hi, im a new member, and very new to the world of welding, well I have had plenty of shots of welders that were already set up but this is the first attempt of a welding project by myself in my own garage with my own welder. (an old clarke 165)
The project is the above mini which when i first looked at it was ok from the outside but it has the usual A panel issues and a couple of holes in the sills, I have owned a few minis in my time but only bought solid ones and sold them when they were still good or just starting to go.
Anyway,, When I opened the drivers door it dropped about 2 inches at the door lock end and I quickly discovered that the A post (drivers side) has about had it. the rest of the car is sound (ish)
I was wondering How massive a job is welding in a new A post or should I avoid it and start with something far easier.
P.S I did buy it anyway
Any help would be very appreciated
Cheers
Andy
