That's my thoughts too,....I know that it's only a scene from a movie, "I can't get any bars" whilst Chuck skis past talking on his brick phone.

Yeah, me too mate. I've been watching that film lately, we desperately need a hot tub like that now or some way of going back in time, pre Agenda 21 basically to prevent any of this current madness the world is/about to go through.

Everything is so much cheaper these days.
Apprentices used to only be able to by one tool every few weeks.

My mate's dad used to run a tool stall at car booties into the early 2000s: on several occasions he had young lads who were training as motor mechanics turn up and ask how much he'd give for their entire SnapOn collection as they needed the money to go to Ibooza with their mates. They'd usually got well into hock to buy a load of tools without even knowing if they'd need them.
As a result, my mate has the biggest personal SnapOn collection, most of it still looking brand new, you can imagine.

The 2nd ex-Mrs Wedg1e's dad was a tower crane driver in Germany (think Auf Wiedersehen Pet) on what was at the time a huge salary. The ex said she remembered the neighbours coming into the house not to watch the new colour telly, but to watch the new automatic washing machine
