It really depends on a lot of factors, it's impossible to give advice from one photo but they're worth silly money now, a good one can fetch 10-15K if it's restored to a high standard.

is it a project your looking to start? look on ebay and see what they fetch
Like said before , they can fetch good money. Difficult to tell from the one photo , but i could see it making £200 - £400 for a resto. This obviously depends on engine , interior etc etc.
I would think that if you threw £200 at it and it was too bad for resto , you would get your money back and more breaking for bits.

Yeah i've been after one for a while now and looking for a project to start
I was kind of thinking he'd expect £500 + as I've seen worse go for a lot more on ebay
A lot of the interior is custom made, it's been lowered and has apparently rare smoked not tinted rear glass, it is also running an 1800 type 4 engine but when it last ran i have no idea, i know it's been where it is for over 5 years
Pretty much every panel is shot and so is a lot of the lower half
I know i can get it better than it currently is but money talks and i don't want to go and sell myself early and offer more than he wants as he's being pretty coy over what he will take for it

make him a silly bid for it starting price and if he quotes ebay prices tell im to go sell it there

get the best you can for a start as its going to save time and money. however avoid recently "restored" ones as its most likly to be botched and require reworking
What he expects though Stereo and what he gets is always different.
Depends how desperate he is to get it moved though. I would offer him £200 and start from there , Don't forget if he wants it gone , he may take something low , so he avoids all the hassle with ebay , advertising etc , CASH IS KING !!!. especially if it is in your hand and under his nose.

if you are considering breaking it then its worth remembering that the dvla wont allow you to declare you have scraped it yourself any longer

Yeah i'm currently saving for a good one but i was thinking that if i can get one like this cheap enough i can tidy it enough for someone else to take it on and maybe practice some welding

Unless it is done on the existing V5. It is only the new ones that don't have the option. However, I would still declare it scrapped by recorded delivery letter and then see what they think of that. :-)

I have no intention of scrapping it anyway unless it falls in 2 when i get it on the drive

I hope you get it for what you offer but I have seen a lot worse go for over £1000. If the seller doesn't know what he has then you might be in luck.

Sadly he know's exactly what he has but like i say it's been sat for years and he doesn't even live there any more it's his parents house, he's been offered loads over the years but always refused, now however he's come to the conclusion it needs to go so i'm hoping he'll just take the cash or at least give me an indication of what he wants
