Well heres a 65 Coupe Deville bumper and it'll fit over that box section bumper I've made, the frame rail mounts are the same size so all I need to do is modify my box section slightly to accommodate the caddy bumper and we'll be away!
If I'm 500 powered I may as well be 429 front ended! I did have the old engine out of the motor this bumpers from too....went into one of my Land Rover projects a few years back

Cadillac bumper fits nicely, plan is to shave some of the length off the crumple/crush cans as that's the job of whatever you hit....modify my box section frame and raise the whole lot up level with the lights.
Cadillac grille will serve as a template for a new Torino grille made of stainless slats for that Mad Max look

Not even sorry I chopped up the original interior! Sheet metal dash is definitely the right way to go for the Torino, just need to anodise it gunmetal grey now!

Its got an 8.2L Cadillac engine in it like Langy has so the sound front is covered

New dash mocked up, new steering wheel in place and tachometer mocked up too.
Seating position wants dropping 2" and I need to make up some mounts to hold it all in place on the firewall but damn it looks good!
I also sorted out the new bumper mounts, steel framework welded up and Cadillac bumper mocked up again.
Found a slightly better way of mounting it, going to trim the outer frame mounts off and use the central ones plus some fabricated ones to pull it in over the steelwork, once it's in its final spot I'll extend the frame with some 80x80x3 box so it's snug with the skin....the less it crumples the better haha

Engine autopsy complete....turns out the last owner of the spare engine I picked up managed to kill a Cadillac motor....
Bent pushrod and lifters that needed removing with a pry bar! But the crank and bores look perfect.....with only one broken head bolt which should be easy enough to remove too I'm calling it a success!
If I had a puller it'd have made disconnecting the timing chain a little easier too....a cold chisel works in a pinch though

Progress wise.....heads off, machine shop re surfacing them and removing broken exhaust bolts and the stud extractor I snapped off in one of them 
Blocks been cleaned with 800 grit, wiped down to remove grit, greased to prevent any rust and sealed up with some sheeting, fuel pump bracket cleaned up and painted in a rather bright orange! Autometer speedo sender mounted in position, tacho mounted and dash brackets added....you can tell I just couldn't be bothered measuring up for both sides with them by the number of holes....one size fits all now! Other than that, I've sorted out a whole load of wiring
And my Summit Racing order is clear of customs and nearly here! Need the head gaskets and ARP studs out of it so I can rebuild the the top end

Summit order just turned up
Just need to remove the water pump from the car and drill/tap the rear crossover pipe (its rotten) to a 3/8th NPT fitting so I can plug it up. I'm not running a heater or anything like that so its not much of an issue...
Few nice little additions to make use of too, like a Curries drain plug for the 9" rear. What sort of bellend designed the stock 9" case without a drain plug!
Got a Thumpr cam en route too which should make the whole thing sound a lot better until I can afford to build some real power from this motor

i would advise against not having a heater been tried before ask Steve Langy
unless you have heated front and rear screen even then all the other windows will mist up large cold steel area inside a car

Dave the inside of you truck is half the size of the Torino as well as i said it's been tried before might work in a hot place but not the UK

New carb arrived today 
and the new cam! Went to the machine shop to check on the heads and they should be back together for Tuesday so its all looking good
